International Trade Law and Policy: Intersection of Continental Free Trade and Regional Economic Pacts

The continental free trade is designed to interface with regional economic blocks. Lawyers, being key stakeholders in disseminating trade policies and knowledge among stakeholders, should be adequately trained on the international trade policies and the interdependence of regional and continental economic pacts. It is such understanding that will promote the use of the EAC Common Market Protocol instruments to advance the free continental trade area agenda. The discussion will feature keynote address by Dr. Francis Mangeni of COMESA among other speakers.
