Transnational Crimes: Challenges to Cross-Border Trade

Transnational Crimes: Challenges to Cross-Border Trade

While cross-border   trade   presents   huge opportunities for local markets, there is always the danger of  wayward elements  exploiting these  markets for   illicit  gains. Cross-border human  trafficking, drugs trafficking, economic crimes and money laundering are all possible opportunities  that  criminals exploit for  gain.

Lawyers,  being  key   stakeholders  in   justice administration, require skills to deal with these elements. The session is designed to empower lawyers from private practice, public  service as well as corporations to handle these emerging challenges in their trade. The session is hosted in partnership with the Conference of Western Attorney Generals.
