28th Edition of East Africa Law Society Annual Conference

THEME:ONE REGION, ONE PEOPLE: THE ROLE OF THE LAW AND THE LEGAL PROFESSION IN DEFINING THE FUTURE OF THE EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY
Over 600 lawyers from across East Africa and beyond will converge in Bujumbura-Burundi, between 23rd and 25th November to discuss business, create networks and keep abreast with topical issues affecting the profession.
The theme for this year’s conference, “ONE REGION, ONE PEOPLE: THE ROLE OF THE LAW AND THE LEGAL PROFESSION IN DEFINING THE FUTURE OF THE EAST AFRICAN COMMUNITY” has been carefully selected to provide a platform for legal professionals across the region to discuss the role of the law and the profession in accelerating development in the East African Community.
How to Participate
The following are the available categories and their respective costs
Leading Law Firms
Members of over 5 years’ experience or above 35 years
Young Lawyers: Members of less than 35 years old, and less than 5 years of experience post-admission
Topics of Discussion
The Conference will bring together several activities, with the climax being the Main Conference on 25th November, 2023 that is expected to host the President of the Republic of Burundi, H.E. President Evariste Ndayishimiye. All Conference events have been structured to effectively cover for the needs of all our members allowing them to experience never seen before sessions and opportunities to build their networks as well as take a well-deserved rest after a long and grueling year
